Our History 

Steven "Reno" Dupuis founded Steven Dupuis Oil Company  in the early 1960s in Opelousas, Louisiana. Steven Dupuis kept the business thriving while serving four terms as a Louisiana State Representative. 


The family-owned business turned into a second- generation family-owned business when Charlie Dupuis stepped into his father's shoes following the sudden and unexpected death of the family's beloved "Reno". Charlie stayed true to his father's ideals of quality and service, and because of this he saw the company through many more successful years. Charlie met such success with Steven Dupuis Oil that he was able to branch out into other successful business ventures. 


It was at this time that Steven Dupuis Oil became a third-generation family owned company when Seth Dupuis took on all operations of Steven Dupuis Oil. Steven Dupuis Oil has historically been a fuel distribution company servicing South Louisiana. However, Seth, under the guidance of his father, has recently expanded the business to include fuel and lubricant sales.  


The Dupuis men are respected by many in the industry and the local community because of their honesty, loyalty, and commitment to hard work and superb service. Especially interesting is the change Steven Dupuis Oil has seen in the last fifty-five years while still holding true to the same quality service. The company has survived on long time relationships within the industry, a commitment to the family name, and the dedication from Steven, Charlie, and Seth Dupuis.
